The CVAR Board of Directors approved amendments to the club’s Bylaws on June 30, 2026.

The amendments were developed from recommendations made by the 2025 Election Committee. CVAR thanks Jackson Williams, Charles Bamford, Steve Heitzke, Mark Shatwell, and Mike Rogers for their work on the committee and for the recommendations they provided to the Board.

The amendments primarily address the Board election process, Board structure, and eligibility for At Large Director positions.

Summary of approved amendments:

• The Election Committee process will begin earlier in the calendar year, providing additional time for candidate nominations and qualification.

• The requirement for the Election Committee to interview incumbent candidates was removed.

• A tie breaker process was established for Board elections.

• Language defining the responsibilities and requirements of the Election Committee was strengthened.

• The size of the Board of Directors was reduced to seven members.

• General Members who are not Competition Members may now serve as At Large Directors.

• The At Large Director term was changed from three years to two years.
