Discussion:
The 2023/2024 BOD voting cycle will occur between January 2 and January 7, 2024. The slate of candidates was presented to the CVAR membership during December 2023. All CVAR memberships expire on 12/31 in a given year and this may significantly affect the CVAR membership who may not have had the time nor renewed their memberships prior to January 7. Voting is carried out utilizing MotorsportsReg, however the bylaws are unclear as to who is the BOD officer responsible to certify the vote count.
Resolution:
- All CVAR members in good standing as of 12/31/2023 will be eligible to vote for the Board Of Directors in the election cycle January 2 to January 7, 2024.
- MotorsportsReg will be modified, either automatically or by manual correction, to allow for and count all votes of all CVAR members who are in good standing as of December 31, 2023, as well as those who have renewed their membership as of January 1, 2024.
- The certification of the final vote tally and the presentation of the results to the membership at the Annual Meeting shall be the responsibility of Colby Lemmons.
